An amateur radio station established in the westernmost part of Japan, Sasebo city, Nagasaki in 1975 as JH6VDH.
Almost half a century has passed since then, enjoy CW Operation in outdoor activities, nowadays.
My own recent challenge has been to find out how lightweight the HF Go-kit can be. The kit includes a 3-band QRP rig (ie. 40m, 30m, 20m), CW keys, earphones, EFHW aerial wire, high-impedance antenna tuner, extra fine ropes, power bank, step up power code, log memo, pen and of course kit box itself.
Up to now, achieved a gross weight 1,480g (3.262 lb).
I spend my weekends in fields and mountains savoring coffee and soaking in the pure CW tone from the single-superhet rig.
And sometimes, look up the skies and follow the clouds in the aviation weather observation format, it is a good time contemplate to the forecast for the way back on the path and road.. |
